♡ Weekly Fave: Tangle Teezer ♡

A few months ago I mentioned in my favorites that I'd been loving the travel size Tangle Teezer and I told y'all that I'd boughten the travel size due to the fact that my local Sephora wasn't selling the regular one. But guess what? They finally got it and guess who bought it? You guessed it, I did!

The Tangle Teezer is basically a hair brush but it has a different appeal to it. Supposedly, it's got 'revolutionary teeth configuration for dual action. Gives pain-free detangling', 'memory flex technology for speedy and gentle results. Ideal on wet and dry hair' and 'innovative centralized concave design delivers optimum results from roots to ends'. There's something that Shaun P, the hair stylist who created this brush, said that I really liked 'A hairbrush that looked different, felt different, so naturally performed differently.'

Guess what? I'm here to tell you that it's true... This hairbrush is, as a matter of fact, amazing. Normally, I had to use a detangler otherwise my scalp would hurt from all of the tugging and pulling from brushing my head but this is no longer a problem. The Tangle Teezler basically glides on my hair and it works so quickly. I also love the whole design of it, it's palm fitting and much easier to carry around in your bag than normal hairbrushes that get tangled with other things. My only problem with this product is that it's quite difficult to take the hair out of the teeth when I'm cleaning the brush but other than that.

In these pictures, I'm showing the compact Tangle Teezer in black and gold. They have a wide range of colors you can choose from uch as black, pink/black and cheetah print. I love how small this is, it's great for traveling because I can just throw it in my bag. I love the protective teeth cover because it not only keeps the teeth of the brush clean but it also keeps it from getting tangled and possibly ruining other things in my bag. The compact Tangle Teezer retails for $20.00 and is available at Sephora.

In these pictures, I'm showing the original Tangle Teezer. As you can see by the pictures it's a neon orange on the outside part and the teeth are yellow. You can also choose other colors like pink, purple/pink, black, blue and other colors. This fits perfectly in my palm and I just love brushing my hair with this. I wish this had a cover for the teeth like the compact one because it makes storage a bit more complicated. This one is currently not available at US Sephora stores but it's available in Sephoras for other countries, I bought mine there during Black Friday. But if you live in the US and want this then fear not it's available at Sally's in two different colors pink and purple/pink. You can order this from the Tangle Teezer website, they ship worldwide but their prices are in English pounds which end up being more expensive than any other currency. #economylessons

Overall, I'm really happy with this product and I have most definitely retired my old hair brush for this one.

♡ App of the Week: Scrivener ♡

It's been so long since I've made an app of the week post but I figured that this app is different than most therefore I must give it a quick shout out. You know?

Unlike most of the products that I include in my app of the week posts this isn't an app for your iPhone or iPad, it's an app for your Macbook or iMac or anything like that. This app will appeal most to those of you who enjoy writing. It has formatting for screenplays, poetry, novels, short stories and much more. It gives you space to plot out your entire story, to write about each one of your characters, to define the setting, to write down notes and any other thing you can think of. You can also use the index cards to map out each part of your story!

I, personally, don't use much of the other features besides the screen play one since I enjoy writing screen plays. I found that this was a much more affordable writing software than Final Draft 9 and many of those other ones that tend to cost over a hundred dollars. I love writing on this, I don't have much to say on it besides that. I'm not a professional writer or anything like that therefore I feel as if it's not really my place to go into much detail. But I love this app and if you're a new writer then I think it's a great option. I enjoy how I don't need wifi to use this like Celtx. I used to use Celtx but I needed internet connection and I don't always have internet connection when I'm writing.

This is available in the app store and it retails for $45, I think. But I got it when it was on sale for $20, which was an amazing price!

Here are some of the options for formatting that you have.

The 'binder' where you can keep all of your characters, places, scenes, etc...

This is what the character page looks like, you can use this to describe each character in as much or as little detail as you want.

This is what the 'place' page looks like, you can use this to describe the setting.

♡ January Favorites ♡

Hello February! January has flown by and now it's time to welcome another month!

Beauty
-I've been out in the sun a lot during my summer and one of my must haves is my Baby Lips, the blue one, called Quenched. It has a nice citrus smell and it has SPF 2O!
-I also have to protect my hair from further damage so to protect it from the sun I've been using my L'Oréal Ever Pure UV Protect Spray, I might have mentioned this in my last favorites post but I highly recommend this!
-I ran out of exfoliant and decided to be daring and try out a new one so I picked up the Neutrogena Rapid Clear Exfoliant and I love it! It makes my skin feels so clean!

Non Beauty
-Beyoncé's album Beyoncé is absolutely amazing, check it out if you haven't already!
-I watched several movies this month since I was on vacation for a majority of the month. I'm going to be making some MOTW featuring a few but my favorite has been One Day, which made me cry so so much. Here's the trailer for those of you who are interested!

-As for my favorite book of the month.... It's no secret that I love cinema and all that stuff and I recently bought a book called Conversations with Woody Allen: his films, the movies, and moviemaking by Eric Lax. I think it's an interesting read for anyone who's into cinema or a fan of Woody Allen! It's also a nice book to leave on your coffee table!
-I didn't know whether to include this in my favorites or not but I thought, why not? I got a box set of Friends for Christmas and I love it so much. My obsession with Friends has been rekindled.
Music
Blow- Beyonce
Talk Dirty (feat. 2 Chainz)- Jason Derulo
Neon Lights- Demi Lovato
Love Me Again- John Newman

Also here's my favorite quote this month:

I rarely do this but I saw a youtube video by Savannah Brown and I thought it was amazing so I wanted to share it with you!

Hope you all had a nice January! Happy February!

♡Best of 2013 Tag ♡

I know this post is BEYOND late but just bear with me ok? Can you believe that 2013 is over? In this post I'm going to be naming my favorites of the entire year of 2013, in other words I highly recommend all these products that I'm going to be listing here. I hope all of you do this tag because I love reading these.... And yeah, let's get started!

PS: For my movies/music/ TV shows and all those random ones, I tried my best to choose things that came out this year so that's why I didn't mention some other ones that I've praised in past posts.

BEAUTY
1. Face product

My favorite face product is most definitely, without a doubt the Nars Sheer Glow foundation in Barcelona. This is a rather pricey foundation ($44) but I have to say it's worth every penny. It is literally my perfect shade and it has amazing coverage, it's definitely buildable. You don't need to wear concealer with this because of the amazing coverage. A little amount of this goes a long way so it'll last you awhile. If you have oily skin then I suggest trying out the Nars Sheer Matte, it's the same thing but for oily skin. I love this foundation and I will most definitely repurchase it, regardless of the price. I made a post on the Sheer Glow a long time ago!
2. Cheek product

I've used so many different bronzers and I've found that a lot of them don't tend to show on my skin tone. I'm not very dark, I'm considered a Medium skin tone but still. Benefit Hoola was a complete waste of money for me but surprisingly one bronzer that worked is the NYC Sun 2 Sun Powder. I've hit pan on it which means I use it a lot.

As for blush my Nars Exhibit A is my baby. I love this product so so much. It's so pigmented and you only need a little bit of product to make this work. It gives you a sort of sunburnt effect but I promos you it looks amazing.
3. Eye product

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to name two products for this.... I'm in love with my Naked 2 palette. I find myself reaching for it constantly whether it's for a casual day out or going out. The shadows are so pigmented and I love it. You should definitely check it out!

Primer wise I'm in love with the Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer, I love it so much that I don't even want to try any other one. It makes my eyeshadow look amazing and it stays on for the entire day. It's a bit pricey for just a primer but I think it's worth it.
Another eye product is the Benefit They're Real mascara... Holy lashes! Seriously, this product is amazing, it lasts all days and it gives you length and volume. The only problem is it is quite hard to take off but if you use a make up remover you'll be able to take it off quickly!
4. Lip Product

I am in love with chubby sticks. I haven't tried out the Revlon ones yet but so far I've loved the Clinique ones and the Victoria's Secret ones. I found that chubby sticks last a long time and are very moisturizing. They're also very easy to reapply.
5. Skincare Product

This comes as no shock to anyone but I had to choose my St Ives Apricot Scrub. I ran out of the bigger bottle so I'm just using my travel size because I'm to lazy to run to the store... Oops. I love this product so much, you can actually see the difference after a few uses. It prevents blemishes and blackheads.
6. Nail Polish
I barely use any nail polish so I don't have a favorite, sorry!
7. Hair product
The Batiste Dry Shampoo has been a saver of mine various times so I had to choose it. I love the smell of it, the consistency. I use a hint of brunette because I'm a brunette for the most part and I hate how some dry shampoos leave white residue behind. I think I've gone through like 5 bottles of this product throughout this year. I just really like it.
For shampoo and conditioner I've been in love with the L'Oreal Elvive Triple Resist Reinforcing Shampoo & Conditioner.
8. Body product/Perfume

My favorite perfume would have to be Daisy by Marc Jacobs, I made a post on this a long time ago. I love this scent, I like how it's an appropriate scent for any occasion. It's sweet and subtle, I'm not going to describe the scent because I'm terrible at that but you can visit the Sephora website to find out the notes and all that good stuff!
FASHION
9. Clothing piece

I'm gonna have to go with my inner common white girl and say Victoria's Secret yoga pants. I mean, they're so comfy and they match anything.
10. Accessory

My favorite accessory this year has been watches, I've been using this chocolate/bronze colored ones by Style & Co. that I got at Macy's a lot. I originally wanted to get one from Marc Jacobs that looked similar, it didn't have the little rocks around it but I settled for this one because there was about a $300 difference! It matches all my outfits and I've gotten so many compliments on it... I use others one as well but this would probably be my favorite.
11. Pair of shoes

I never thought I'd like these shoes from Charlotte Russe as much as I did. They're so comfy and they look cute with anything. I was going to get Toms but I couldn't find them anywhere so I got the next best thing.
RANDOM
12. Favorite TV Show
This is where it's going to get tough... I can't pick just one TV show because I watch so many and that wouldn't be fair to them... So I'm going to do a top 4 TV shows!
1. Teen Wolf. If you've read any of my favorites posts then you know that I'm in love with this show. I am beyond hooked. I find myself rewatching episodes over and over and over again. I can honestly say I've rewatched the entire thing about 3 times and yes, that is a lot.
2. American Horror Story. This show is pretty scary for the most part but once you get over the fact that it's creepy/scary then you get so hooked. I don't know what it is about this show but it's just so interesting, you just wanna keep watching to know what's gonna happen.
3. Heroes. Heroes is definitely one of my favorite TV shows of all time, it's so interesting... You can't just watch one episode, it's THAT good. And who doesn't love Milo Ventimiglia?
4. Friends. I can't make a favorites post without Friends. This is another one of my favorite TV shows of all time. And who needs friends when you have Friends?
13. Movie
Once again I'm gonna have to do a top 5. PS: Click on the name of the movie for the trailer.

14. Favorite book

My favorite book this year would probably by Into The Wild by Jon Krakauer. This is the non fiction story of Christopher McCandless, a man who left every behind to explore the world. It's such an inspiring story and it gives me all sorts of feelings. I love it so much and you should definitely either watch the movie or read the book because they're both amazing.

I have to add all of the Hunger Games books to my favorites as well because I couldn't stop flipping through it until I was done. Oh yeah, by the way I am #teampeeta for the win!
15. Food
16. Beverage
Coconut water has been my favorite beverage this year. I began liking it this year and I'm so glad that I gave it a chance. It's hydrating and also really good for you!
17. Favorite song

Once again, I'm going to cheat and do a top 10 rather than just one. How do you expect me to just pick one song for 365 days?

Does music video land under favorite song category? I don't know but I have to take a moment to acknowledge the fact that all of the music videos by The Neighbourhood are amazing and have a message behind them. They're planned out so well and they really impact you. Go check them out. Som of my favorites include Let It Go, Afraid and Female Robbery. By the way in the video of Female Robbery she's speaking french and she says the exact opposite of everything written in the subtitles. Oh yeah and their music is amazing and they're one of my favorite bands this year. I love going to songmeanings.com and figuring out the meaning behind their songs. And, Jesse Rutherford is just so dreamy...

1. Counting Stars- One Republic
2. Ribs- Lorde
3. What Now- Rihanna
4. Just Another Girl- The Killers
5. Let It Go- The Neighbourhood
6. Walks Like Rihanna- The Wanted
7. I'll Be Your Man- James Blunt
8. Far Too Young To Die- Panic! At The Disco
9. Gone, Gone, Gone- Phillip Phillips
10. Story of My Life- One Direction
(Also Chloe (You're The One I Want)- Emblem 3 just so I don't have to do a top 11)

weheartit.com
November is finally coming to an end and that means I am on summer vacation, which means I'll be posting a lot! I have so many favorites this month and I'm excited to share them with you!

Beauty
-My number one beauty favorite this month is my Tangle Teezer, if you don't know what a Tangle Teezer is it's basically a hair brush but it looks way different! I purchased mine at Sephora and I'd been wanting one for so long and they finally had it so I splurged! It's amazing, it doesn't tug my hair even when my hair is tangled and it's small and compact so I can take it anywhere!
-I've also been loving my Victoria's Secret Glossy Tint in Boudoir Pink, it's such a gorgeous nude pink and it stays on for hours! It looks absolutely stunning! It's also very easy to apply.
-I'm back to being in love with my MAC Studio Fix Fluid, it has such great coverage and is definitely buildable. I don't know why but I really enjoy the smell, it's very distinct! It's been a MAC month for me, I've purchased so much MAC stuff and ugh I just love MAC, I can't wait till the holiday collection comes out here! So excited!
-I've also been loving plum lipsticks and one of my favorites/most used is Sweet Succulence by MAC, which is a nice plum color with a semi sheer finish which I like because it's not so dramatic!
-I also got a sample of the Terre D'Hermès perfume and I love it and am seriously considering getting the actual thing!

Non Beauty
-Can we take a moment out of our day to talk about how much amazing music has been released this fall... like One Direction's CD Midnight Memories, Lorde's Pure Heroine and The Killer's Direct Hits. There's so many categories, there's a TV one, a movie one, a Friends one, a How I Met Your Mother one, a Twilight one, a Hunger Games one and so many more. Go download it in the app store, it's free!
-Let's not forget about the movie I loved so much that I made an entire post about it, Catching Fire. Such a great movie, click here to check out my review! It was so great I even downloaded the soundtrack, which is also amazing!

♡ July Favorites ♡

Hi guys,
weheartit.com

Throughout the month of July I've had a lot of favorites and they're literally all over the place. They have nothing to do with each other.... and once again, I have more non beauty favorites than beauty but whatever. Let's get started!

Beauty
-My first beauty favorite is Maybelline's Mega Plush mascara... I know that there's a lot of people who don't like this mascara but I really like it, it gives me a lot of volume!
-I've also been loving Benefit's They're Real mascara, it's amazing and makes my lashes both longer and more volumous. The only bad thing is it's a little hard to come off.
-Once again, I've been loving lip balms but this month I love my grape vine Baby Lips!
-Not really sure if this fits into beauty but there's an eyedrop I've been loving and it's the Rohto Relief eyedrops, they literally work in a minute and I love it!
-There are two hair products I've been loving... One is Morrocan Oil and the other is detanglers. I'm not going to recommend a specific detangler because I haven't found one that I love yet.

Non Beauty
-My first non beauty favorite is actually a blog... I love Gracie's blog so much.. I can't even describe it, just go check it out!
-I have three favorite foods! Popcorn, hot cocoa and Airheads Xtremes. They've all contributed to my movie addiction.
-There's a movie that I saw this month that inspired me so much that I really wanted to share with you guys! The movie is Into The Wild...I know that there's a lot of people who admire Christopher in this movie but there's also people who thought he was selfish. But I personally admire his journey but think that he should have at least told his sister. Watch the movie, it has the most beautiful scenery and it's worth your time... I promise! Watch the trailer here! I bought the book online and I'm waiting for it to arrive!

-I also have a newfound love for the movie Uptown Girls and the song Molly Smiles (Yes, I did cry) ! By the way, I also checked out the movie Beautiful Creatures and it's really good!

-Friends is on my favorites once again! Chandler and Monica are literally my favorite tv couple... They're perfect and yeah. I'm looking for a box set of Friends to buy and I found one at Best Buy but I'm not sure whether I should get it or not.
-I've been loving my Vans this month! I have a couple pairs all in different colors.... and it's been freezing cold here so I just wear an oversized sweater, skinny jeans and Vans!
-PS: I finished all four seasons of Heroes and I'm EXTREMELY disappointed by the last episode... Oh yeah and my love for Milo Ventimiglia is still burning bright :)

Songs
I'll Be Your Man- James Blunt
Gone, Gone, Gone- Phillip Phillips
Stand By Me- Oasis
Walks Like Rihanna-The Wanted
Breathing- Jason Derulo
Objects In The Mirror- Mac Miller
I've been liking Mac Miller's new album Watching Movies With the Sound Off so if you like rap then go check it out!

Also there's someone I want y'all to meet... For my birthday a few months ago I got a really special present that's better than anything on my list. His name is King Joseph but I just call him Joey, he's three months old right now and I got him when he was about two months old (barely)! He is the sweetest little pug and I love him to death. I've been wanting a pug for about a year now and my parents finally caved in and got me one! If you want to see more pics of him, he does have an instagram @kingjoeythepug!!!

I talked a lot in this post... wow.. Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

♡ Make Up Mayhem Day 16: May Favorites♡

Hi guys,

So today is officially the last day of Make up mayhem and what better way to finish it then by posting the highlights of May aka my favorites! Make up mayhem was so much fun and definitely made me be a little bit more creative. May was great, my birthday is in May if you didn't know! But June is here and I've been so excited for a certain event that's coming up very soon that I will post about later!! Anyways.... let's start!!

Beauty
-If you saw my Sephora haul post then you know that I've recently gotten the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and guess what? I love it already.. During the past few weekends I've been going out at night a lot and I made the most perfect smoky eyes with this palette! The combinations are endless and it's so handy. I can make day time looks, night time looks, if you can think it you can do it. If you're edge about getting it due to the price then just know! It's worth the price! I love my Naked 2!
-This is another item from my haul that I fell in love with, the VS Glossy Tint in Knockout Red! This is very pigmented and last for a long time! It looks like I'm wearing lipstick! It's great!
-A nail polish that I've been loving is the China Glaze nail polish in Refresh Mint, it's a really nice bright minty color. It last for so long! I went two weeks without reapplying and I only had one or two chips! Definitely going to purchase more China Glaze polishes in the future!
-This one might be obvious if you read all my posts but the Rimmel Long Lasting lip stick in jet set red has been amazing to me. I've been really into bold lip colors lately for some reason!

Non Beauty
-Once again, I've been having a huge chocolate craving fest this month!
-Another food favorite of mine has been tomato soup! It's just so good and Panera has the best just so you know!
-Another thing that hasn't changed since last month is my obsession with Grey's Anatomy, which by the way I'm nearly done with season 7! I want Lexi and Mark to get back together!
-Teen Wolf. I re watched both seasons one weekend and I'm hooked all over again.... Everything about Teen Wolf is perfect and I swear you'll get hooked too! Can't wait for season 3, yay!! I will forever have one of the worlds' hugest crushes on Dylan O'Brien and Tyler Hoechlin! Not to mention the fact that my girl crushes totally include Crystal Reed and Holland Roden! And just so you don't think I'm leaving anyone out, I do think Tyler Posey and Colton Haynes are perfect beyond description! I just love the entire cast and even though Colton won't be on season 3 (which makes me very upset btw) I'll still watch!
-Ok, so even though it's spring for most of you... It's fall for me and if you don't know what I'm hinting at then I'll tell you! Scarves, I love scarves... You can wear a plain white tee and then add a scarf and you looked like you tried already! I love scarves! Bold print, animal print, plain colors, light colors, dark, I don't care I love them!
-I have a favorite movie for this month... I've literally watched this hundreds of time but I decided to put it in my May favorites to share it with you! It's called It's a Boy Girl Thing.. it's on Netflix! Go watch it! Here's the trailer! It's old but I love it! I'm pretty nostalgic like all the time so I love old movies and old songs... just so you know!

Music
I had so many musical favorites for May so I picked out a few that I've had on constant replay!
Just Give Me A Reason-P!nk ft Nate Ruess
Come and Get It- Selena Gomez
Radioactive- Imagine Dragons
Stubborn Love- The Lumineers  (btw this is probably one of my all time favorite songs now)
Pretty Brown Eyes- Cody Simpson

♡ April Favorites ♡

Hi guys!
weheartit.com
May is almost here so I thought I'd tell you guys my April favorites! I'll feature my beauty, non beauty and musical favorites for this month!

Beauty
-Some of you may have already guessed this.. but ever since I got this I've been in love with it! It's my Nars Sheer Glow foundation, it's very much worth the investment! It's super easy to work with and it has the most gorgeous finish!
-The NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder... So fun fact, before December of last year I had never owned a bronzer before so I went out and bought one, the cheapest one I could find. And I love this! The only bad part about this, is that it does have glitter... I'm not a big fan of gliterry blushes and such.
-Nars eyeshadow in Night Clubbing. I love using this on the outer corner of my eyes for a dramatic look.. it looks amazing! It's super pigmented and I love it.. It's worth the investment! I haven't been disappointed by Nars so far!
-The Lush Eau Roma Water Toner Water... This makes my skin feel so refreshed and clean! I love it! I totally regret buying the smaller bottle :/ Cause now I have to get more!

Non Beauty
-I usually love this all year round but this month I've had a special love for it.... Chocolate! I've been so obsessed with chocolate, I've been eating it almost everyday. I know it's not good for you but I can't control myself!
-Grey's Anatomy... I've spent the last couple weekends canceling plans with my friends and making excuses to not go out, just to stay home and watch Grey's Anatomy. I'm still only on season 4. I really want Mark and Addison to date, even though she left. I also want Burke to come back!

Musical
I had so many favorite songs for this month! But I narrowed it down to only three!
And We Danced- Macklemore
Stay- Rihanna
Sweater Weather-The Neighbourhood

♡ App of the Week ♡

Hi guys,

So I thought I'd make a post with my app of the week! This won't be a weekly thing due to the fact that I rarely download new apps but when I do find one I love,
I'll make sure to share with you!

This weeks app is Songza! I have been raving about this app to all my friends and forced them to download it. And guess what? They loved it too! So this app is a bit like Pandora and Spotify but it creates a playlist for you based on your mood or what you're doing! If it's Friday afternoon and you're getting ready then they have the perfect playlist. If it's Monday morning and you're struggling to get out of bed, they have a playlist for that! It's perfect and I've found so many new songs on it. Also, it can give you HQ sound adjusted just for your headphones! Go to the app store and download it's free and definitely worth a try!

<-- Music for Monday morning, just choose your activity and you get a playlist!

♡ My Favorite Perfumes ♡

Hi guys,
This post is going to be about my favorite scents. I only have two that I use religiously and find myself repurchasing them a couple times!

My first favorite scent is Daisy by Marc Jacobs! Here's some information for you: The bottle on the left has 4 fl oz and the one on the right has 1.7 fl oz. The bigger bottle is unavailable in stores, I got it at the airport in Duty Free for about 70 dollars, I believe. The smaller bottle I bought at Macy's for 62 dollars. Tip: Don't buy it at Sephora, it's more expensive there. First of all, let's talk about the packaging. It's super cute with all of the little flowers on the cap. You might notice that my bottle on the right looks empty and that's cause it is, but I just can't bring myself to throw it out... Too cute!... The scent is so fresh, sweet and girly. I love it so much, I never get sick of the smell. Plus, the bigger bottle came with a bonus gift of a cute little wristlet, that you can kind of see at the back of the first picture.

My second favorite perfume is Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I know this is a crappy picture but you get the hint! The lighting was extremely bad so I could only take a picture of my 1 fl oz. I also have a 3.4 fl oz. The smaller one is priced at 47 dollar and the bigger one at 82 dollars. This perfume has more of a sensual, night time, sexy kind of smell. It's a much stronger scent than Daisy but it's still amazing. I've been using this perfume since it first came out a few years ago and I'm still not sick of it. The packaging on this is also very cute. It's not like a regular squared perfume bottle, it kind of looks like a fan or a half circle. It's just cute and I definitely recommend it!

So I hope you enjoyed this post on my favorite perfumes! Bye bye for now!
