♡ Back To School: Picture Day Hair & Make Up Tips ♡

Hi guys,

So unfortunately most of our summer vacation's are coming to an end... which means back to school and back to school means picture day! I decided to dedicate a post to picture day tips. I don't know if I'm the only one but I ALWAYS have bad hair days or actually bad face days during picture day so here's some tips for people who are like me!

Make Up
-A lot of people don't know this but for pictures, do not use foundations with SPF, it will make your face shiny and you will see the reflection of the flash. Which is not very cute.
-Don't do a dramatic eye look, your eyes will get lost in the picture.
-While we're on the dramatic make up topic, don't go for a dramatic lip color.
-Overall, just don't cake on make up... They use professional high definition camera and you will be able to see all that extra make up if you do decide to put on a lot of it.

Hair
-Are you having a flat hair day? Use some dry shampoo to add some volume!
-If you're going to dye your hair for picture day, make sure to do it a week ahead at least. You never know if it's going to look good.
-Don't use a low ponytail. It will hide behind your head and will make your face look bigger, try to use your hair to frame your face. It will slim you down.

Outfit
-Most outfit tips are obvious, don't use something that shows too much cleavage.
-Just use something simple yet cute. Don't go for anything that will completely distract from your face.
-Don't use any huge necklaces to distract from your face.
-Don't layer up... At my school pictures are always taken in the gym and it's always super hot! You don't want to sweat your make up away!

♡ July Favorites ♡

Throughout the month of July I've had a lot of favorites and they're literally all over the place. They have nothing to do with each other.... and once again, I have more non beauty favorites than beauty but whatever. Let's get started!

Beauty
-My first beauty favorite is Maybelline's Mega Plush mascara... I know that there's a lot of people who don't like this mascara but I really like it, it gives me a lot of volume!
-I've also been loving Benefit's They're Real mascara, it's amazing and makes my lashes both longer and more volumous. The only bad thing is it's a little hard to come off.
-Once again, I've been loving lip balms but this month I love my grape vine Baby Lips!
-Not really sure if this fits into beauty but there's an eyedrop I've been loving and it's the Rohto Relief eyedrops, they literally work in a minute and I love it!
-There are two hair products I've been loving... One is Morrocan Oil and the other is detanglers. I'm not going to recommend a specific detangler because I haven't found one that I love yet.


Non Beauty
-My first non beauty favorite is actually a blog... I love Gracie's blog so much.. I can't even describe it, just go check it out!
-I have three favorite foods! Popcorn, hot cocoa and Airheads Xtremes. They've all contributed to my movie addiction.
-There's a movie that I saw this month that inspired me so much that I really wanted to share with you guys! The movie is Into The Wild...I know that there's a lot of people who admire Christopher in this movie but there's also people who thought he was selfish. But I personally admire his journey but think that he should have at least told his sister. Watch the movie, it has the most beautiful scenery and it's worth your time... I promise! Watch the trailer here! I bought the book online and I'm waiting for it to arrive!

-I also have a newfound love for the movie Uptown Girls and the song Molly Smiles (Yes, I did cry) ! By the way, I also checked out the movie Beautiful Creatures and it's really good!

-Friends is on my favorites once again! Chandler and Monica are literally my favorite tv couple... They're perfect and yeah. I'm looking for a box set of Friends to buy and I found one at Best Buy but I'm not sure whether I should get it or not.
-I've been loving my Vans this month! I have a couple pairs all in different colors.... and it's been freezing cold here so I just wear an oversized sweater, skinny jeans and Vans!
-PS: I finished all four seasons of Heroes and I'm EXTREMELY disappointed by the last episode... Oh yeah and my love for Milo Ventimiglia is still burning bright :)

His name is King Joseph but I just call him Joey, he's three months old right now and I got him when he was about two months old (barely)! He is the sweetest little pug and I love him to death. I've been wanting a pug for about a year now and my parents finally caved in and got me one! If you want to see more pics of him, he does have an instagram @kingjoeythepug!!!

♡ My Skin Care Routine + Tips To Finding Yours! ♡

I'm sorry, I know I've been gone for awhile but I was away on vacation and I had no wifi. But I decided to launch off my posts with my skin care routine! I love skin care products and I'm always looking for new things to try out so I love these posts. Let's get started!

Ok so my skin. I have pretty dry skin, it tends to get very dry around on my nose and forehead, AKA I have a very dry t-zone. This might sound weird but whatever, I get pretty oily on my eyelids which sucks because finding a primer for that is rather hard. I have pretty normal skin on my cheeks. According to Clinique, I have dry combination skin. I don't do skin care every day because I tend to break out if I do but I try to do it at least once a week.

I believe the first step to finding your skin care routine is getting familiar with your skin. Not all products are going to work for dry skin and not all products are going to work for oily skin. If you don't already know your skin type then I suggest you take Clinique's little evaluation to find out! The second step is prioritizing. What is your most concerning issue? Is it break outs, pimples, black heads, white heads, ashy skin, peeling skin, etc... For me my most concerning issue is dryness and scarring, whenever I get pimples I tend to scar.

Now for my skin care routine:

Scrub: St Ive's Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub $3.29

If you read my posts then you know that I love this so much. This removes blackheads, cleanses my skin, and prevents break outs. St Ive's also has different scrubs for different skin types, I've never tried then but they're probably good! The Apricot scrubs have three different types, so pick the one that you like most!

Moisturizer: Clinique Dramatically Different $25.00
I actually really enjoy this moisturizer, I only need a pump of this so it lasts me a while. I hate using moisturizers that don't have pumps cause then it gets messy and blah blah.

Spot Treatment: Clinique Spot Healing Gel $22.50
I'm pretty sure that Clinique doesn't sell these anymore but I get them off of Clinique on Amazon and it's the exact same thing! I've been using this product since I was in the eighth grade and it always works! If I have a pimple i just put this on top of it wait a few hours and then it's gone! This little bottle will literally last you months and it's so worth the price! You can find it here if you want, I highly suggest that you check it out if you have some extra money! You will not be disappointed!

Toner: Lush Eau Roma Water $9.95
I have the smaller bottle because I wasn't sure if I'd like it but you can purchase a bigger one of this! This refreshes my skin and cleans off any dirt that I have on my face... I just spray it onto a cotton ball and wipe it all over my face..

So I noticed that you guys really enjoyed my Get The Look: Crystal Reed post from a few months ago so I'm making a style dupe of her character in teen wolf Allison Argent. I am in love with her style and I know I'm not the only one.. So let's get started!

-Let's start off by what I think is the most important... the leather jackets. She's always wearing a leather jacket whether it's white or black, it doesn't matter she's always wearing them. The black one is from River Island and the white one is from H&M.

-Moving on to jewelry, I noticed that whenever she's wearing something that has a plain color on it she adds a big statement necklace or she wears a bunch of rings. The best place to buy jewelry for cheap is, of course, Forever 21.

-As for other accessories, sometimes she'll use a leather jacket with a plain shirt and a scarf. Charlotte Russe has very cute scarves for a good price. She wears a lot of cross body leather bags, you can find those bags at Target. The one in the picture is by River Island. She will use the belt to accent her waist line when she wears a dress. The one in the picture is from Pac Sun. The last accessory is her tights. Whenever she wears a skirt, a dress or even shorts she throws on some tights underneath.

-Now for bottoms, there was one episode that she wore some tan shorts with black tights underneath, hence the tan shorts. Those are also from River Island. One thing that isn't in the picture but is definitely essential, a pair of black skinny jeans. The floral skirt that she wears in numerous episodes can be found at Monki.

-If you look at the picture you'll see two different dress a floral printed one from Urban Outfitters and a plain white one from New Look. They're both outfits from season 1 and 2. The white one is from episode 3 of season 2 that her and Scott go ice skating. She pairs it with a striped cardigan, the one in the picture is from Mango.

-On episode 1 of season 3 she's wearing a denim shirt (one in the picture is from H&M) with a floral skirt and some tall riding boots.

-She also wears a lot of ankle boots, the one shown is by H&M.

♡ Amusement Park Outfit Ideas ♡

I love amusement parks, I love roller coasters and all those things! But I never know what to wear so I thought I'd make a post giving y'all some ideas! Let's get started!

Water Park
If you're going to a water park then you need to wear very few layers, but that's obvious. Try to go for a muscle tee when choosing your shirt. Also, go for regular denim shorts rather than high waisted. Choose some comfy flip flops wear a cute bathing suit underneath your outfit. Use a cross body bag to carry your things!

All Day
If you're going to a place like Six Flags then you know that you're going to be walking around all day, and probably going on rides... So this is the outfit for you! Rather than wearing flip flops go for some old sneakers because after a few hours most flip flops tend to hurt. Since it's probably very hot and you will most likely sweat, I recommend a muscle tee once again! Pair it with high waisted shorts and some cute rope bracelets. Don't use too much jewelry though because you might lose it.

If you're going to Disney then you probably want to look cute, there aren't that many 'wild' rides at Disney like at Six Flags but it's still fun! To accessorize just add a bow to your hair, try to get one the same color as your skirt!

♡ Winter Must Haves ♡

So some of you might be thinking? Why are you making a winter post in the middle of summer or something along those lines! And if you didn't know it is winter here in the southern hemisphere so to be considerate to all of my fellow southern hemisphere readers I decided to make this post.. If it's summer for you then feel free to ignore this post! It's been getting super chilly here lately, I love fall fashion so that's great! This fall has been pretty great and I'll make a post about some fall happenings lately.. It doesn't snow here where I live! Anyways we should get started!

1. Sweaters. I think it's absolutely mandatory to own a couple pair of sweaters... They're comfy, they're cute, they match with basically anything.... They're just perfect ok? I wear them on a daily basis during winter and fall time. They're basically the reason why fall is my favorite season.

2. Darker lipsticks. Winter is that special time of year where we get to wear darker colors and no one gets to say anything. Take advantage of it! Be bold and wear lipstick...

3. Scarves. I like using scarves to jazz up my outfits. Specially if I'm wearing a plain white shirt, I can just throw on a cardigan and a scarf, and BAM... It looks like I put effort into my outfit... But I didn't!

4. Moisturizer. I don't know if it's just me but my skin tends to get very dry around winter time so I always go for some lotion! The one shown is the Philosophy Cherry Berry Crisp Body Lotion.

5. Soup. I'm a sucker for soup and winter is the perfect season to eat it for obvious reasons!

6. Beanies. Another accessory that can be used to jazz up any outfit! Etsy has ones with witty sayings and Neff has great plain color ones.

7. Netflix. I usually stay in quit a bit during winter and I love snuggling up with some hot cocoa and Netflix.. Netflix will never let you down... Unless you have no wifi but that's a whole different story.

8. A mug. To hold all your hot drinks inside of. I love me some hot cocoa with marshmallows, of course!

9. Skirts and tights. You can't see the tights very well in the picture but they're there! If I'm wearing a skirt with tights I'll usually pair it with ankle booties!

10. Crewnecks. They're very warm and there's so many different ones to choose from!

11. Leather jackets. Whenever I wear one of these I feel like I'm a part of the Teen Wolf cast and that's a great feeling. A leather jacket just adds a certain attitude to your outfit, it's hard to describe... While we are on this topic... Boys with leather jackets are to die for. (Hinting at Tyler Hoechlin, by the way)

12. I like to snuggle up with a nice read during winter. Right now, I'm working on The Great Gatsby!

13. Lip balm. My lips tend to get dry during winter and Baby Lips always comes to the rescue!

14. Ankle boots, they're cute and look good with skinny jeans, leggings, jeggings and a lot of other things!

15. Oopsies... I forgot to put a number on the mascara. But winter is great cause you can make your eye make up dramatic and distract it with accessories!

♡ June Favorites ♡

It's that time again! Time for my favorites of the month... I actually didn't try very many products this month so I didn't have too many favorites... I also used very light make up this month and had a lot more non beauty favorites than beauty favorites. Anyways, let's get started!

Beauty
-One product I've been loving this month is the EOS lip balm in Raspberry.. My lips have been pretty chapped this month and this is my savior. Plus the packaging is mega cute!
-Morrocan oil. I've recently gotten back into this.. I purchased it two years ago and I used it for a long time and grew tired of it but now I'm using it again and I'm loving it!
-I thought I'd stick this into my beauty category because it's fashion so yeah. My white Converse! I've been using them so much lately, I pair them with everything! They're super versatile!
-I always love my St Ives Apricot Scrub but this month, it literally saved my skin. I broke out so much and thank goodness for this product. It's definitely in my holy grail.
Non Beauty
-The first non beauty favorite is a tv show that I started watching on Netflix this month and omg I am so addicted. It's the tv show Heroes, it's literally amazing, go watch it! I'm on season three. Side note: Milo Ventimiglia is my newest obsession as well!
-Another would have to be Pinterest, it's so much fun! If you don't have one then you should go make one! You can follow me here! 
-A movie that I've had the urge to watch over and over and over lately is The Jungle Book, it's so cute and I've seen it a couple times throughout the last month.
-Another tv show that I've been loving lately is Friends, I've been rewatching the episodes and remembering why I used to love it so much!
-I have a favorite quote this month and I don't know why I loved it so much but it's been in my head lately. It's kinda sappy but whatever! 'Tell me the story of how the sun loved the moon so much, he died every night to let her breath'.
