♡ April Favorites ♡

Hi guys!
weheartit.com
May is almost here so I thought I'd tell you guys my April favorites! I'll feature my beauty, non beauty and musical favorites for this month!

Beauty
-Some of you may have already guessed this.. but ever since I got this I've been in love with it! It's my Nars Sheer Glow foundation, it's very much worth the investment! It's super easy to work with and it has the most gorgeous finish!
-The NYC Sun 2 Sun Bronzing Powder... So fun fact, before December of last year I had never owned a bronzer before so I went out and bought one, the cheapest one I could find. And I love this! The only bad part about this, is that it does have glitter... I'm not a big fan of gliterry blushes and such.
-Nars eyeshadow in Night Clubbing. I love using this on the outer corner of my eyes for a dramatic look.. it looks amazing! It's super pigmented and I love it.. It's worth the investment! I haven't been disappointed by Nars so far!
-The Lush Eau Roma Water Toner Water... This makes my skin feel so refreshed and clean! I love it! I totally regret buying the smaller bottle :/ Cause now I have to get more!

Non Beauty
-I usually love this all year round but this month I've had a special love for it.... Chocolate! I've been so obsessed with chocolate, I've been eating it almost everyday. I know it's not good for you but I can't control myself!
-Grey's Anatomy... I've spent the last couple weekends canceling plans with my friends and making excuses to not go out, just to stay home and watch Grey's Anatomy. I'm still only on season 4. I really want Mark and Addison to date, even though she left. I also want Burke to come back!

Musical
I had so many favorite songs for this month! But I narrowed it down to only three!
And We Danced- Macklemore
Stay- Rihanna
Sweater Weather-The Neighbourhood

♡ NARS Sheer Glow First Impressions ♡

Hi guys,

I recently ordered some products from Sephora, one of them being the Nars Sheer Glow foundation. I've been waiting for it all week and when it arrived I was super excited. I was desperate for some new foundation due to the fact that I've lost most of my foundations because it's winter here and I'm getting paler and paler. It makes me mad because I have some pretty expensive foundations that I'll only use six or seven months from now. But anyways, I decided to invest in the Nars Sheer Glow. I had never tried any complexion products from Nars before or anything besides their lipsticks really. I read a couple reviews and it had some positive feedback and some negative.

The NARS Sheer Glow is meant to be used by people with normal/dry/dry combination skin. If you have oily/oily combination skin then you should try out the Sheer Matte foundation. I'm a Barcelona which is a medium tone with golden/peachy undertones. This foundation was $44.00. Now onto my first impressions. Before applying this I used the VS Pro Airbrush Primer. The first thing I noticed was that it was very creamy and moisturizing. After applying, my skin felt super smooth. It has a satin like finish, it doesn't need to be set but it's always good to set it! I'm so happy I purchased this, it gave my skin a brighter tone and it was the absolute perfect shade! I used it as a concealer as well and it covered dark circles so well. Overall, I really like this at first. I just hope it won't break me out! Which it hasn't yet. I would definitely recommend this so far. One bad thing about this is the price, it's really expensive and it doesn't come with a pump which would really come in handy. Also, I'm not sure if this is because of the foundation or because I have dry skin but my nose area felt pretty dry. To find your shade visit Karla's post here!

♡ Beach Body ♡

Hi guys,

I thought I'd make a post helping you guys achieve your bikini body for this summer! This nutrition plan has worked for me and I've lost 20 pounds on it! I just changed a couple things up. Throughout this post I'm going to be sharing with you guys a meal plan, an exercise plan and a grocery list for you guys! I'm going to be following this plan as well and I'll tell you guys about my results in a few months... So yeah, let's get started!

Nutrition Plan

Breakfast 6:30 AM: During breakfast I'll usually eat a banana along with a cup of Fiber One Caramel Delight with Silk soy milk. But during this period of time, I'm going to be eating an orange with a cup of Special K Vanilla Almond cereal with some Silk soy milk. If you're not a big fan of soy milk, then try out almond milk, coconut milk, flavored soy milk or just stick to skim milk! Try to experiment and find out what you like best. At first I hated soy milk but now I don't mind it so much.

Snack 9:00 AM: One or two hours after breakfast I usually have a snack because I only have lunch at noon or later. It's important to eat various meals in smaller portions throughout the day. You can stick to a cereal bar during this snack, or some grapes.

Lunch 12:00 PM: During lunch I'll usually have a bowl of salad (lettuce, spinach and celery) and afterwards I'll have grilled chicken, brown rice, beans, broccoli and cauliflower. Chew slowly because it gives your stomach time to know if it's full or not. Rushing will not help you.

Snack 3:00 PM: I'll usually have a peanut butter sandwich with whole grain bread. But you can stick to some fruit, or celery with some ranch. Anything that's healthy! Sometimes I go for a fruit smoothie, I'll mix some blueberries with soy milk and honey, blend it all in and you're done!

Snack 5:00 PM: This is usually a very light snack. I usually eat an apple with peanut butter or something along those lines.

Dinner 7:00 PM: For dinner I'll have some lettuce and spinach mixed with pineapple and grilled chicken!

Remember to drink lots of water throughout the day and to drink green tea as well! To find out how much water you should be drinking check out the chart bellow by fullspike.com.

Exercise Plan
If you're anything like me then you probably don't have too much time to exercise. So try to exercise for 30 minutes a day, 3 times a week! Just pick your favorite way to workout, whether it's walking your dog, dancing, going to zumba or whatever. YouTube has some great workout videos as well! Like Karena and Katrina's Bikini Series! or Cassey from Blogilates!. I love their videos!

♡ Birthday Wish List ♡

Hey guys!

Exactly one month from today it'll be my birthday... Yay! And, I decided to make a birthday wish list because I love seeing other people's so I made my own. If your birthday is coming up then happy early birthday! This is only going to include the actual items I want, not including trips or anything like that so I'll just shut up and show you!

1. The Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette. The colors are so beautiful and I've wanted this forever. I know, it's surprising to find a beauty blogger who doesn't own this palette. This is priced at $50.00 US dollars.

2. The Butter London Nail Lacquer in Knees Up. This is such a gorgeous color and I don't own any deep metallic reds so I thought that this would be a nice addition to my collection. I've heard so many positive things about this brand and I really wanna try it out myself. This is priced at $15.00 US dollars.

3. The Civil Trap Beanie. I love beanies and would love to have this one. Not sure if this is still available though... But I put it in my list just in case! This is priced at $25.00.

4. The MAC 130 Short Duo Fiber Brush. I have never owned any MAC brush due to the fact that they're so expensive! But this one is just so nice and I feel like it's similar to the Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki but I might be completely wrong. Anyways, this is priced at $42.00. So yes, it's very expensive!

5. Vans Heart Sunglasses. These are just adorable, I used to have a pair of yellow heart sunglasses when I was a kid but I have no idea where they've gone.. and they probably don't fit anymore. These are $12.00.

6. The ASOS Stud Earrings. They're super cute and I love studs. They're priced at $9.98

7. The Bdellium Professional Tools Foundation Brush Set. I heard about these brushes through Zoe and Louise, and I've been dying to try them ever since. They're priced $38.70, which is a great price for 4 brushes!

8. H&M Dress. This dress is so cute, you can dress it up, dress it down. Anything you want. And these dresses usually flatter any body type! It also cinches around the waist to accent your waist! It is a bit short but that's no problem from me since I'm not very tall! This is priced at £15.00.

9. The Steve Madden Dynemite Sandals. Ok, so I know they look a little weird from the picture but when you put them on they're literally the cutest shoes ever.. I couldn't actually find the price for this but I'm pretty sure it's in the $100 to $200 range.

10.Last but not least... the Coach Pave Anchor necklace. I love anchors they're such a cute trend, in my opinion. And, I don't own a necklace with an anchor yet and this one is perfect! It's gold plated and priced at $128.00!

♡ App of the Week ♡

Hi guys,

So I thought I'd make a post with my app of the week! This won't be a weekly thing due to the fact that I rarely download new apps but when I do find one I love,
I'll make sure to share with you!

This weeks app is Songza! I have been raving about this app to all my friends and forced them to download it. And guess what? They loved it too! So this app is a bit like Pandora and Spotify but it creates a playlist for you based on your mood or what you're doing! If it's Friday afternoon and you're getting ready then they have the perfect playlist. If it's Monday morning and you're struggling to get out of bed, they have a playlist for that! It's perfect and I've found so many new songs on it. Also, it can give you HQ sound adjusted just for your headphones! Go to the app store and download it's free and definitely worth a try!

♡ Nars Tinted Moisturizer Review ♡

Hi guys!

Today I'm going to be doing a review on the Nars Tinted Moisturizer. I wanted to wait at least a month before I reviewed this to make sure that my review was accurate. Here's some background info first! I purchased this product last month at Sephora for $42.00 dollars and before anyone comments saying that, that's a very expensive tinted moisturizer. Let me just say that I know, but I use tinted moisturizer more than foundation and that it's very much worth the price. This product has 1.9 Oz/50 mL which is a lot! I have to say that finding your shade with this tinted moisturizer is rather hard. It only has 11 different shades compared to the Sheer Glow and Sheer Matte foundation which has 20 different shades. I have medium skin with with golden/peachy undertones which means that Annapurna or St Moritz would be the best shade for me, but it was summer time and I was going to the beach almost every day so I was VERY VERY tan and bought it in the shade Seychelles which, unfortunately, is way too dark for me right now so I have to use a lighter powder. If you check out the colors you will see that there's a HUGE difference between St Moritz/Annapurna (my actual skin tone) and Seychelles and that's how tan I got during the summer, so that's very very very tan. I'll just store it till summer so I can use it again :)

Review
Let's start off with the coverage. The coverage of this is AMAZING, specially for a tinted moisturizer. It has the same coverage as a foundation but it feels super light! Another amazing thing about this is that it contains SPF 30 (sun protection factor), so if you're out during the day and it's sunny, you don't have to worry about getting sunburnt. Which brings me to another positive point, which is the durability. It lasts all day! If I put it on in the morning, by the end of the day it's still on. But that might be because I have relatively dry skin so products usually stay on longer for me than people with oily skin. This moisturizes my skin really well and made my skin feel super smooth! This product will last you forever! Well, for me anyways I only use about a dime size amount when I do use it. If you want a comparison of the size it's twice as big as the ELF Tinted Moisturizer. Like I said before. The only bad part of this product besides the price, which I feel is very expensive, is the shades. I really wish they had more because I had a hard time finding my shade.
All in all, I'd have to give this ★ stars out of five.

If you want to find your perfect shade I highly recommend you check out Karla's post! She has swatches and a translation guide from the Sheer Glow/Sheer Matte shades to the tinted moisturizer. Which in case you were wondering, I'm a Barcelona in.

♡Tag: Would You Rather| Beauty Edition♡

This tag looked like fun so I decided to do it! I tag everyone who reads this! I found this tag on Jen's blog!
QUESTIONS:
1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I would rather lose all my palettes and eyeshadows. I can't live without nude lipstick and eyeliner.
2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Definitely never be able to cut it again because when it got long I could just style it to make it look shorter.
3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

Coral cheek, it's cuter. In my opinion anyways!
4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?

I would probably buy all make up right now but if I actually had 1000 dollars I'd spend it on both.
5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?

Eyeliner as lipstick, there's some red eyeliners and they could double as lip liners.
6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

Sephora, there's more variety. Besides Sephora has Nars!
7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?

One lip color, either Siss by MAC or Frosted by Rimmel :)
8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Winter clothes during summer, because where I live winter is just a little bit colder than summer. So during winter all we have to wear is skinny jeans with a long sleeve shirt.
9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Dark nails, I love deep reds and such.
10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?

My favorite lip product. I love my eye products way too much.
11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

Messy buns, I love them.
12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?

Never paint my nails again, I don't care too much for my nails to be honest.. oopsies.
13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?

Ugh tough question, I'd rather shave them.... I guess.
14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?

Nail polish... easily!

♡ My Favorite Perfumes ♡

Hi guys,
This post is going to be about my favorite scents. I only have two that I use religiously and find myself repurchasing them a couple times!

My first favorite scent is Daisy by Marc Jacobs! Here's some information for you: The bottle on the left has 4 fl oz and the one on the right has 1.7 fl oz. The bigger bottle is unavailable in stores, I got it at the airport in Duty Free for about 70 dollars, I believe. The smaller bottle I bought at Macy's for 62 dollars. Tip: Don't buy it at Sephora, it's more expensive there. First of all, let's talk about the packaging. It's super cute with all of the little flowers on the cap. You might notice that my bottle on the right looks empty and that's cause it is, but I just can't bring myself to throw it out... Too cute!... The scent is so fresh, sweet and girly. I love it so much, I never get sick of the smell. Plus, the bigger bottle came with a bonus gift of a cute little wristlet, that you can kind of see at the back of the first picture.
★ stars out of five.

My second favorite perfume is Euphoria by Calvin Klein. I know this is a crappy picture but you get the hint! The lighting was extremely bad so I could only take a picture of my 1 fl oz. I also have a 3.4 fl oz. The smaller one is priced at 47 dollar and the bigger one at 82 dollars. This perfume has more of a sensual, night time, sexy kind of smell. It's a much stronger scent than Daisy but it's still amazing. I've been using this perfume since it first came out a few years ago and I'm still not sick of it. The packaging on this is also very cute. It's not like a regular squared perfume bottle, it kind of looks like a fan or a half circle. It's just cute and I definitely recommend it!
★ stars out of five

So I hope you enjoyed this post on my favorite perfumes! Bye bye for now!

♡Favorite Eyeliners♡

My favorite eyeliners!

Top to bottom: Elf Liquid Eyeliner, Sephora Smoky Kohl 01,
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Black Bean, Maybelline Define
a Line in Ebony Black, Maybelline Unstoppable in Onyx and
Hot Topic Eye Pencil in Black.
Elf Liquid Eyeliner: I haven't used many liquid eyeliners so I can't really compare this to anything else. But I really like this eyeliner it works great for only a dollar! The only problem is it takes a while to dry!
vampyvarnish.com
Sephora Smoky Kohl:
This is great for smoky eyes! I originally bought it when it came out for 12 dollars and I'm pretty sure that it's now on sale for 3 dollars!

polyvore.com

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil:
Everyone should have one or two NYX jumbo eye pencils in their make up collections, they're super cheap and work great! Super pigmented and totally gets the job done. My only problem is I don't know how to sharpen this. I will soon be purchasing this in the shade Milk for special effects make up.

ulta.com

Maybelline Define a Line:
I originally borrowed this from a friend and instantly fell in love! It's super pigmented and it stays on, it does smear a bit though. I love this eye liner and I have repurchased it a few times!

maybelline.com

Maybelline Unstoppable:
Originally, I didn't mean to purchase this but, I don't remember if it was Target or Walmart, was selling this eyeliner as a duo with the Lash Stiletto. I loved both of them! Although, I feel like there's not that much product in this because I have repurchased this quite a few times. But I do like it!
maybelline.com

Hot Topic Eye Pencil:
It gets the job done! I originally bought this because so many people at my school (including me) used to have raccoon eyes, thanks to this product! I still use it up to this day so that says something!
hottopic.com
So these are my favorite eyeliners! Hope you liked it!
FTC: All opinions are my own and I have purchased all of these products with my own money.

♡ Being Healthy ♡

Hey guys,

I wanted to make a post on being healthier to help some of you who want to be healthy but don't know where to start. I'll start off by talking about my weight loss journey. So when I was in 5th grade I weighed 175 pounds (I know it's a lot for such a young age) and by the time I was in 8th grade I was already on the verge of hitting 190 pounds. I wasn't very tall I was 5'3 during that time. You'd think I was very insecure and such but actually, I was super confident when I was in 7th and 8th grade years. I thought my body was perfectly fit, but then halfway through my freshman year I realized I couldn't go on like that. My diet basically consisted of sandwiches, chocolate milk, cheeseburgers, bread, soda, and you get the hang of it. I made the decision to go to a nutritionist and I changed my eating habits. In the month of eating right and working out I lost 10 pounds! Right now I'm closer than ever to my goal weight and I'm super proud! So here's how you can turn your life around with an easy healthy-eating guide.

Avoid:
-Processed Foods. Processed foods are just not good for you. They're super high in cholesterol and contain so much sodium. If you're ever in between buying an apple or those 130 calories snack things, get the apple! An apple might not sound too good compared to your Cheetos but your bathing suit will sound amazing in a month or so if you just stick to it. Besides there's so much hidden nutrition facts that they don't tell you about those 'low calorie' packaged snacks, next time you see it go look at the sodium on that. When you're reading nutrition labels, look at the ingredients. The first ingredient is what is in that food the most. I know this picture is hard to read but it's the best I have.
http://doitthehealthyway.tumblr.com/

-Soda. I know what you're thinking, 'I love Coke' 'But Mountain Dew is so delicious', and I agree. But the unfortunate part is, soda has no actual benefit for us. It's loaded in sugar and causes stretch marks. Or as the 'Skinny Bitch' book by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin say 'Soda is liquid Satan. It is the devil. It is garbage. There is nothing in soda that should be put in your body'.
http://nervouscrashh.tumblr.com/

-Foods with mascots. Have you ever noticed that foods with mascots are usually pretty unhealthy? Chester Cheeto, Ronald McDonald, Snap! Crackle! Pop!, Trix Rabbit, Tony the Tiger and so many more.
-Junk food/fast food. This one is pretty obvious. I'll be 100% honest, if you ask me if I want to have McDonalds with you for lunch, I'm going to say yes. It tastes amazing yes, and I know it's hard but we have to avoid it :/

Include:
-Protein. Protein is great for getting that perfect toned stomach. Foods that are rich in protein: meat, almonds, broccoli, salmon, tofu, eggs and much more!
-Water! Water is so important, to keep your body hydrated make sure to drink 2 liters of water a day! To burn calories you need to have an adequate amount of water in your body so remember that!

-Vegetables and fruits. Remember how your mom always said 'eat your vegetables'? Well, she was right. They're amazing for you and can prevent many diseases. Click here for a chart with vegetables and their benefits. Here's a fruit chart!

-H2O! Water is so important that I put it on here twice :) Green tea is also important! Unsweetened preferably.

Working out:
-Remember you can work out 1 hour a day and eat junk food all day and you will most likely not lose weight. It's like the phrase 'Abs are made in the kitchen'. Don't take me wrong working out is also important. If you don't have a gym membership try Insanity, Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred, Blogilates, and many more.
-Try to do at least 30 minutes of cardio 3 times a week!

My tips/suggestions for you!:
-Try to stay away from lactose. Recent studies show that milk actually has no benefits for us because it's made just for calves. Also if you're like me and you have allergies, milk does make that worse. So if you can stay away from it. There are so many alternatives to milk. Like soy milk. coconut milk, almond milk, dairy free ice cream and so many more. Just find your favorites! You can read this article to get informed! Click here.
-Eat 6 small meals a day rather than 3 big ones. Small meals throughout the day are the key to boosting your metabolism.
-Moderation is key.
weheartit.com

-Take a multi vitamin. While you're on a new eating routine you will lose a few essential vitamins so make sure to replenish that.
-Like I've said before. Keep yourself hydrated!
-Be positive. I can not stress this enough. Change doesn't happen overnight and it won't be easy but if you keep to it I promise you that you will see results. Also remember that your body doesn't have to look like a Victoria Secret's model to be beautiful. Don't give up! You can do this.
weheartit.com

-Don't count calories. I was guilty of this until a while back. A banana has 120 calories and 3 cheerios have 60 calories. but which one is obviously healthier? The banana, of course! Nutrition > Calories.
-Set goals and keep to it.

Just remember that it's your body and don't let anyone shame you into losing weight. And, if you do decide to lose weight do it the healthy way! I am not a nutritionist or anything like it but if you ever have questions or need motivation, I suggest you go to my fitblr! You can click there to keep up with my weight loss journey and motivate yourself. I'll also answer any questions you have about my journey or anything to do with health to the best of my abilities! Good luck! :)
