♡ My Go-To Fall/Winter Outfits ♡

I'm very sorry about my lack of posts this week but this time it was something serious... I had a problem in my eye and I was extremely sensitive to light aka I stayed home all last week but I couldn't do anything. I'm still in recovery but I can actually look at a computer for once!

♡ October Favorites ♡

Hi guys!

I'm back for another favorites post! I've used a lot of products throughout this month and I'm excited to share my favorites with y'all and yeah! Let's get started!

Beauty
-I've been liking the scent of the Victoria's Secret Pink Body Lotion in Sweet and Flirty and it keeps my skin hydrated!
-I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my last favorites post but I'm mentioning it anyways because I love it! It's the Batiste Dry Shampoo in A Hint of Brunette... It's made for people with dark hair aka it won't leave that annoying white residue behind.
-Ok so I don't know the name of this perfume so here's a picture of it! It's by Juicy Couture and I really love the scent!

-I've also been loving the Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser.... So I have dry skin and it usually turns flaky by the middle of the day and this product prevents that! I wash my face when I shower at night and it prevents my skin from being flaky ALL DAY!
-Océane Makeup Removing Wipes, this is extremely hard to find but so worth it! It's just an amazing product and you should definitely check it out!
Non Beauty
-I started reading this book called The Serial Killers Files by Harold Schechter and I absolutely love it. I'm really into psychology and this book gives you a glimpse into the mind of a psychopath and I find it extremely interesting.
-I'm a little late on this one but I've been loving Sex and the City, it's such an amazing show and it makes me want to move to New York City and just be fabulous, in general!
-I only watched one episode of this but I can tell I'm going to like it and I'm just waiting till summer comes around so I can start watching it! It's Beauty and the Beast, the TV show that airs on the CW!
Music
Hold On We're Going Home- Drake
Furthest Thing- Drake
Applause- Lady Gaga
Don't Look Back In Anger- Oasis

That's about it for the month of October, I'm sorry I'm a bit late with my favorites this month! Anyways, hope you guys enjoyed this post! Bye!

♡ Hair Resuscitation ♡

Hi guys,

This post is going to be all about how I got my hair back to healthy after years of damaging it. Quick disclaimer, this process does take quite some time but keep in mind that it did take a lot of time to damage your hair.

Heat Damage
I used to use heat on my hair on a daily basis and you can only imagine the damage it caused. Using tons of heat will dry out your hair and break it.

Tip 1: If you wash your hair everyday, then stop. Try to wash it as few times as you can. At first your scalp might feel oily but use some dry shampoo to revive your hair. I recommend the Batiste Dry Shampoo, you can find it at Target, Ulta, Walmart, and basically every where.

Recommendation: While we're on the topic of washing hair, I just want to shout out an amazing shampoo, whose smells lasts for days. It also makes my hair look really nice, it's the L'Oreal Triple Resist X3 Reinforcing Shampoo.

Tip 2: The easiest/ fastest way to salvage your hair is by stopping the use of heat altogether but I know how hard that is. Just don't use heat everyday, maybe once a week? Also make sure to use a heat protecting spray. I like all the TreSemmé heat protecting sprays, which can be found at Target, Sally's, Ulta, CVS, Walmart, etc.

Dying/bleaching
Bleaching is very bad for your hair, I've heard that it strips the nutrients right out of your hair. It also takes the moisture out of your hair.

Tip 3: Use hair masks. You can either make your own, I have a post with a few hair masks for different types of hair. I personally really like the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, I know they have it at Target but it's 15 dollars cheaper on Amazon!

Vitamins
As much as most of us hate to admit it, our hair is connected to our body, in other words we need to eat the right stuff to make it grow and shine.

I take Biotin, it makes my nails stronger, my hair grow faster and makes my skin glow. Talk to your doctor about taking any sort of supplement.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Bye!

♡ September Favorites ♡

Hi guys,

weheartit.com

I'm back with another favorites post where basically I tell you what I was loving last month!

Beauty
-My first beauty favorite is something that I used to use a long time ago but have recently been using again.. The Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Shampoo & Conditioner. I love this, it makes my hair so silky and the scent lasts for days. It's coconut scented and I just love it.
-I've also been liking setting powders quite a bit this month, I still have to go out and buy a loose powder one. But so far for pressed powder I've just been using my MAC Prep + Prime Transparent Finishing Powder/Pressed. All it does is it makes your skin not look as oily.
-I've also been liking highlighters/illuminators this month, I haven't quite found my favorite yet but when I do I'll make sure to tell you guys!
-The Organix Hydrating Macadamia Oil Intensive Moisture Hair Mask, I love this it makes my fair feel amazing.

Non Beauty
-My first non beauty favorite would have to be Pringles, I love them. They're so good, unfortunately I have no self control and eat them cans at a time.
-I've been LOVING American Horror Story this month... At first I thought it was really scary but then I kept watching and holy crap it's so good. And so many plot twists. I can't wait till the second season comes out on DVD on the 8th, I'm going to pre order it probably!
-I've really been liking the movie Across The Universe, it's basically a musical with songs by The Beatles. It's such a nice movie and their covers are pretty good. My favorite covers would have to be I Want You (She's So Heavy), With A Little Help From My Friends, Happiness Is A Warm Gun and Hey Jude. The movie is on Netflix and I recommend that you check it out.
-House, they just put it on Netflix and I love it, go watch it seriously. I love Dr Cameron, she's my favorite!

Songs
-This first song is by a famous Viner, Trey Kennedy. It's a really good song and you should definitely buy it! It's called Not Just Another Girl by Trey Kennedy
-Happiness Is A Warm Gun by The Beatles or any Beatles song basically
-Let It Go by The Neighbourhood PS: It has an amazing music video!
-Royals by Lorde

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Sorry for being so late with my favorites!

♡ Back To School: After PE Essentials ♡

Hi guys,

After coming out of phy ed you're probably going to be sweaty and your make up will run and I made this post to help you guys look amazing after phy ed! If you have a gym locker like I do at my school then these are some things you should keep inside and if you don't have one then just carry it in your school bag! Let's get started!

-Finishing Powder is great for when your skin looks a little greasy just apply a little bit using a brush and you're good to go!
-Mascara to touch up!
-Bobby pins, just in case... What if after P.E your hair just doesn't want to cooperate?
-Batiste Dry Shampoo, get this in a travel size! If your hair is looking a little down and needs some volume just use this!
-Make up removing wipes, get this in a travel size as well. This is to take off that runny mascara from under your eyes!
-Deodorant, for obvious reasons. Get this in a travel size as well!

♡ Movie Of The Week: Upside Down ♡

Hi guys,

I'm so excited to finally announce my new series that I'm starting on my blog called movie of the week. I've had this idea for so long now and I just decided to finally pursue it. It's no secret that I am in love with movies and that I've seen so many movies. So I'm making this series where each week I'll talk about a different movie, if it's good or not and all that. I'll also rate the movie. Welcome to my first post of my series! Hope y'all enjoy!

Directed by: Juan Solanas
Starring: Kirsten Dunst. Jim Sturgess, Timothy Spall, Blu Mankuma, and many more.

In a nutshell, this movie is about two different worlds with two different gravities; in the upper world live the rich people and in the lower, the poor people. It tells the story of a controlling government that doesn't allow contact in between social classes. The two main characters, Adam and Eden fall in love. As you can probably guess, it gets a bit tricky. But the movie tells the story of this romance between people from two different worlds.  I won't say any more or else I might spoil it.

First, let's talk about the special effects, which are amazing. It seems so difficult to put together a movie like this but they certainly pulled it off. The scenery gave the whole 'controlling modern society' vibe without copying the whole 'Big Brother' idea from 1984.

The acting was also amazing, I might be biased though. Kirsten Dunst is one of my favorite actresses ever and this movie definitely reenforces my opinion. Jim Sturgess was amazing as always. Timothy Spall also did a fantastic job, I loved his character as well.

The whole concept of the movie was amazing but I do think that there were a few aspects that needed to go more in depth because a lot of it was very superficial. For example, we know everything about Adam's (Sturgess) life but close to nothing about Eden's (Dunst). I don't know, I just expected more out of this film. But I'm a romantic and I loved the idea of a love so strong that it could 'break' gravity.

It did remind me quite a bit of City of Ember, which was a great movie. Both of them talk about this sort of modern government that controls its' individuals.

Imagine watching this movie with a projector like the one they use in planetariums!

3.5 out of 5 stars

Hope you guys enjoyed this post and look out for a post like this every week!
