♡ Weekly Fave: Tangle Teezer ♡

A few months ago I mentioned in my favorites that I'd been loving the travel size Tangle Teezer and I told y'all that I'd boughten the travel size due to the fact that my local Sephora wasn't selling the regular one. But guess what? They finally got it and guess who bought it? You guessed it, I did!

The Tangle Teezer is basically a hair brush but it has a different appeal to it. Supposedly, it's got 'revolutionary teeth configuration for dual action. Gives pain-free detangling', 'memory flex technology for speedy and gentle results. Ideal on wet and dry hair' and 'innovative centralized concave design delivers optimum results from roots to ends'. There's something that Shaun P, the hair stylist who created this brush, said that I really liked 'A hairbrush that looked different, felt different, so naturally performed differently.'

Guess what? I'm here to tell you that it's true... This hairbrush is, as a matter of fact, amazing. Normally, I had to use a detangler otherwise my scalp would hurt from all of the tugging and pulling from brushing my head but this is no longer a problem. The Tangle Teezler basically glides on my hair and it works so quickly. I also love the whole design of it, it's palm fitting and much easier to carry around in your bag than normal hairbrushes that get tangled with other things. My only problem with this product is that it's quite difficult to take the hair out of the teeth when I'm cleaning the brush but other than that.

In these pictures, I'm showing the compact Tangle Teezer in black and gold. They have a wide range of colors you can choose from uch as black, pink/black and cheetah print. I love how small this is, it's great for traveling because I can just throw it in my bag. I love the protective teeth cover because it not only keeps the teeth of the brush clean but it also keeps it from getting tangled and possibly ruining other things in my bag. The compact Tangle Teezer retails for $20.00 and is available at Sephora.

In these pictures, I'm showing the original Tangle Teezer. As you can see by the pictures it's a neon orange on the outside part and the teeth are yellow. You can also choose other colors like pink, purple/pink, black, blue and other colors. This fits perfectly in my palm and I just love brushing my hair with this. I wish this had a cover for the teeth like the compact one because it makes storage a bit more complicated. This one is currently not available at US Sephora stores but it's available in Sephoras for other countries, I bought mine there during Black Friday. But if you live in the US and want this then fear not it's available at Sally's in two different colors pink and purple/pink. You can order this from the Tangle Teezer website, they ship worldwide but their prices are in English pounds which end up being more expensive than any other currency. #economylessons

Overall, I'm really happy with this product and I have most definitely retired my old hair brush for this one.

♡ Hair Resuscitation ♡

Hi guys,

This post is going to be all about how I got my hair back to healthy after years of damaging it. Quick disclaimer, this process does take quite some time but keep in mind that it did take a lot of time to damage your hair.

Heat Damage
I used to use heat on my hair on a daily basis and you can only imagine the damage it caused. Using tons of heat will dry out your hair and break it.

Tip 1: If you wash your hair everyday, then stop. Try to wash it as few times as you can. At first your scalp might feel oily but use some dry shampoo to revive your hair. I recommend the Batiste Dry Shampoo, you can find it at Target, Ulta, Walmart, and basically every where.

Recommendation: While we're on the topic of washing hair, I just want to shout out an amazing shampoo, whose smells lasts for days. It also makes my hair look really nice, it's the L'Oreal Triple Resist X3 Reinforcing Shampoo.

Tip 2: The easiest/ fastest way to salvage your hair is by stopping the use of heat altogether but I know how hard that is. Just don't use heat everyday, maybe once a week? Also make sure to use a heat protecting spray. I like all the TreSemmé heat protecting sprays, which can be found at Target, Sally's, Ulta, CVS, Walmart, etc.

Dying/bleaching
Bleaching is very bad for your hair, I've heard that it strips the nutrients right out of your hair. It also takes the moisture out of your hair.

Tip 3: Use hair masks. You can either make your own, I have a post with a few hair masks for different types of hair. I personally really like the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque, I know they have it at Target but it's 15 dollars cheaper on Amazon!

Vitamins
As much as most of us hate to admit it, our hair is connected to our body, in other words we need to eat the right stuff to make it grow and shine.

I take Biotin, it makes my nails stronger, my hair grow faster and makes my skin glow. Talk to your doctor about taking any sort of supplement.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post! Bye!

♡ Style Dupe: Crystal Reed ♡

Hi guys,

So I noticed that you guys really enjoyed my Get The Look: Crystal Reed post from a few months ago so I'm making a style dupe of her character in teen wolf Allison Argent. I am in love with her style and I know I'm not the only one.. So let's get started!

pictures extracted from google

Cosmetics
-A curling wand/iron
-A straightening iron
-Maybelline Color Sensational Vivids in On Fire Red
-Elf Liquid Eyeliner
-Nars Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder
-Maybelline The Rocket mascara
-Baby Lips
-Butter London Lippy in Beaker

Hairstyles
-Messy bun
-Side braid

-Let's start off by what I think is the most important... the leather jackets. She's always wearing a leather jacket whether it's white or black, it doesn't matter she's always wearing them. The black one is from River Island and the white one is from H&M.
-Moving on to jewelry, I noticed that whenever she's wearing something that has a plain color on it she adds a big statement necklace or she wears a bunch of rings. The best place to buy jewelry for cheap is, of course, Forever 21.
-As for other accessories, sometimes she'll use a leather jacket with a plain shirt and a scarf. Charlotte Russe has very cute scarves for a good price. She wears a lot of cross body leather bags, you can find those bags at Target. The one in the picture is by River Island. She will use the belt to accent her waist line when she wears a dress. The one in the picture is from Pac Sun. The last accessory is her tights. Whenever she wears a skirt, a dress or even shorts she throws on some tights underneath.
-Now for bottoms, there was one episode that she wore some tan shorts with black tights underneath, hence the tan shorts. Those are also from River Island. One thing that isn't in the picture but is definitely essential, a pair of black skinny jeans. The floral skirt that she wears in numerous episodes can be found at Monki.
-If you look at the picture you'll see two different dress a floral printed one from Urban Outfitters and a plain white one from New Look. They're both outfits from season 1 and 2. The white one is from episode 3 of season 2 that her and Scott go ice skating. She pairs it with a striped cardigan, the one in the picture is from Mango.
-On episode 1 of season 3 she's wearing a denim shirt (one in the picture is from H&M) with a floral skirt and some tall riding boots.
-She also wears a lot of ankle boots, the one shown is by H&M.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post!

♡ Make Up Mayhem Day 9: All About Hair+ DIY Hair Masks♡

Hi guys,

Today's post is going to be all about hair! All the way from seventh grade till my freshman year I would straighten my hair every single day. That damaged my hair sooo much and now I'm on a journey to restore it, it's not easy! So I decided to use my past experience to help you guys so you don't damage your hair like I did! My hair is long and I'm naturally a brunette but a few months ago I ombred my hair. If you didn't know ombre hair is dying the tips of your hair blonde, which means bleaching. Which is bad for your hair. So yeah, it'll be a long journey to healthy hair but I have to do it!

Brunettes: If you're a brunette and you want to enrich your hair color then put coffee on it! I know it sounds weird but trust me it works pretty well. Also use a shampoo and conditioner just for brunettes John Frieda Brilliant Brunette.

Blondes: If you're a non natural blonde and your hair sometimes turns this orangey or sometimes even green color then go out and buy some purple shampoo. Purple shampoo works on blonde hair because yellow and purple are opposites on the color wheel. I personally use purple shampoo and it makes my hair look great! I recommend the Clairol Shimmer Lights for blonde and silver hair that you can get at Sally's for $8.49. For a hair mask try mixing 1 table spoon of honey with 3 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil!

Red Hair: If you died your hair red then you should probably use a color protection shampoo like the Quantum Riveting Reds! Don't use Morrocan oil on your hair because it will most likely strip off the color. Don't wash your hair every day or the color will fade faster.

Damaged or dry hair: This is going to be a long one! Ok so for hair masks try mixing avocado with some yogurt and mix it together. Leave that on your hair for a good 20 minutes and then wash it out. To repair the damage you'll need a good deep conditioner/hair mask so I recommend the Macadamia Deep Mask! This next one is important try to stay away from heat or use a good heat protecting spray! Don't wash your hair too much and in between washes you can use a dry shampoo, I highly recommend the Batiste Dry Shampoo, of course!! Also use oils in your hair, I like the Morrocan oil but feel free to play around and find your favorite!

Wavy hair: Some of you will probably guess this but sea salt spray! It'll be your best friend. If you want to make it at home then check out this recipe! But if you just want to purchase it then try the Not Your Mother Beach Babe spray!

Curly hair: If you have curly hair you'll probably need a detangler and for that I recommend the It's a 10 Miracle Leave In Product! You might need something to tame your curls as well and I'd use the Rusk Silk Curls line! Also remember to use a wide tooth comb to brush out your hair!

Straight hair: Straight hair is very easy to manage in my opinion! Any shampoo works and any products work!

Hope you enjoyed this post! If you want further help then I suggest talking to your hair stylist because I'm not a professional and everything I know, I know through experience!
