♡ 20 Days Til Christmas: MAC 2014 Holiday Collection: Salon Rouge Lipstick ♡

If you didn't already know, each year MAC launches a new holiday collection each year and this year's is called the Heirloom mix and it's gorgeous! I always pick up a few lipsticks from the line and this year I originally got Salon Rouge and Rebel but there was this whole thing where Rebel was broken and when I went to exchange it, it was sold out and blah blah. Long story short, I only have Salon Rouge which is perfectly fine with me.

Let's talk about the packaging for a moment, as you can see it's black like all MAC packaging but it has some sparkles on it. I have to say last year's packaging was, in my opinion, better. The silver part when you walk the lipstick was golden and it was just gorgeous.

Salon Rouge is a deep red, darker than strawberry red and it's gorgeous. I really like the color, I don't own any reds like this. I almost got Sparks of Romance but I thought it looked too much like Ruby Woo but with a little bit of glitter and I don't like glitter on my lips so yeah... My big issue with Salon Rouge is that it's a matte lipstick, I love how it looks and all but it's like Ingrid (Miss Glamorazzi) said 'It's like applying a glue stick to your lips'. I prefer MAC lipsticks with a Satin finish because they're much easier to apply and my lips don't feel dry when I put it on. Therefore, before putting this lip stick on I strongly suggest using a lip scrub beforehand and some lip balm as well.

What did you think of MAC's Heirloom Mix?

♡ 5 Days Till Christmas: MAC Rihanna Collection: Talk That Talk Lipstick♡

I was finally able to get my hands on the Rihanna collection from MAC that came out a few months ago and I'm super excited to try everything out. I thought I'd make a post on one of my favorite items from the whole collection it's one of the lipsticks in the shade Talk That Talk. It's basically a dark plummy color with a matte finish. I really love lipsticks with a matte finish,

I feel like this is a color that would be a little out of most peoples' comfort zones due to the fact that it is a very dark and dramatic color but once you step outside your comfort zone and use this color, you'll realize how gorgeous it looks. I feel like this color would look good on any skin tone!

Also can we pause for a moment and talk about this adorable packaging? This lipstick is currently sold out at maccosmetics.com but I'm sure that if you go to your local MAC store/counter you'll be able to find a copy. It's priced at $16.50 which is a $1.50 more expensive than other lipsticks but I think that's just because it belongs to the Rihanna collection. I think it's limited edition but I'm not sure so get your hands on it if you can!

♡ 10 Days Till Christmas: Christmas Tag♡

This is a tag that I found whilst roaming the interweb and I tag everyone who reads this! I wasn't directly tagged but this looked like a fun tag so I decided to do it!

Questions:
1. Whats Your Favorite Holiday Movie?
I don't have just one favorite holiday movie but I feel like if I had to pick just one, it'd be How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I've seen this film billions of times even when it's not Christmas season. It's an amazing movie and I love the Where are you Christmas song. Oh yeah and the Grinch is hilarious.

2. What Are Your Favorite Christmas Colors?
My favorite Christmas color would probably be either gold or silver.

3. Do You Like To Stay in Your PJs Or Dress Up For Christmas?
On Christmas eve I dress up because I stay up till midnight but during Christmas day I usually stay in my PJs.

4. If You Could Only Buy One Person a Present This Year Who Would It Be?
Oh dear, picking one person is going to be so hard but I think I'd have to buy Logan Lerman. He's so dreamy, he looks like such a sweet person and this definitely might be because of the movie Stuck In Love. If I had to pick a girl, I'd buy Vanessa Hudgens for obvious reasons, she's perfect.

5. Do You Open Your Presents Christmas Eve Or Christmas Morning?

I open my presents at midnight! It's been that way since I was a little kid.

6. Have You Ever Built a Ginger Bread House?

Yes! I built one in school when I was in fourth grade but I ended up eating all the icing and candy. The only part I didn't eat was the graham crackers since I'm not a big fan of them. Oops.

♡ 12 Days Till Christmas: MOTW: The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug ♡

I'm aware that this post is a bit late but I got home from the movies at like 4AM so I didn't have time to review it. But I really wanted to get this post out even if it is a day overdue.

I am a massive Lord of the Rings fan, ask anyone I know and they'll tell you straight up. To me, everything about it is beautiful. So you can only imagine how excited I was in 2012 when they released The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey movie, which was amazing by the way. But this year they released The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. I, of course, had to go see it on the day it came out. Therefore, my movie of the week this week is The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

Directed by: Peter Jackson
Starring: Martin Freeman, Benedict Cumberbatch, Orlando Bloom, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Evangeline Lilly, Andy Serkis and many more.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is the second movie in the trilogy of An Unexpected Journey, which was originally a book written by J.R.R. Tolkien. The movie tells the story of Bilbo Baggins, a hobbit from the Shire, as he accompanies 13 dwarves, who have lost their kingdom to Smaug, a dragon, and aids them on their mission to reclaim what was once theirs. The dwarves are also being chased by Orcs, which makes their quest even more difficult. Throughout the entire second movie, Bilbo Baggins possesses the ring, that is very important because the theme of the Lord of the Rings trilogy revolved around it. It's a bit hard to describe the plot of this movie so I'd suggest watching the trailer, which I have linked above.

Let me just start off by saying that this movie was absolutely amazing and that it did not feel like it was 3 hours long. As always, the scenery is beautiful and everything looks realistic. The make up/wardrobe/hair in this movie never seizes to amaze me, it's all so perfect you wouldn't ever be able to tell what the actors actually look like. Also, the special effects beautiful.

There were particular scenes that I enjoyed, for example the scenes with Tauriel and Kili. I also liked the scene where Bilbo finally got a name for his sword, Sting. Also, the scenes with Smaug and Bilbo. The ending was also quite the cliffhanger. I don't know what to say about this movie besides the fact that it was absolutely amazing and even if you're not a fan of Lord of the Rings you should give it a shot because it was beautifully made, the settings were flawless, the wardrobe was impressive, the acting was priceless and there was the occasional comical moments, most of them including Bombur, the obese dwarf.

If that doesn't convince you to go check out this movie then I have one thing to say to you. Orlando Bloom. Yes, he is in this movie and he looks perfect as always. He plays the part of Legolas and he did an amazing job, as he always does.
I am so excited for the next movie to come out and I'm sure that it'll be as amazing if not more than the other two movies. Peter Jackson never fails to disappoint, I'm even considering reading all of the Lord of the Rings books once I'm done with the ones I'm currently reading.

All in all, go watch this movie. You won't regret it. But before watching this I'd recommend watching the first one or else you'll be a bit lost. This was one of the best movies of the year, in my opinion, and no one should miss out.
